About TallyTrip

TallyTrip is a travel planning, expense tracking, and journaling app developed and maintained by an independent solo developer. These terms apply to TallyTrip and any future apps developed under the same brand family.

Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use TallyTrip. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Acceptable use

You agree to use TallyTrip only for its intended purpose — personal travel planning, expense tracking, and journaling. You agree not to:

• Use TallyTrip for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Upload content that is harmful, offensive, or violates the rights of others
• Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or redistribute TallyTrip
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from TallyTrip

Your content

You retain full ownership of all content you create in TallyTrip — your trips, expenses, journal entries, and photos. By using TallyTrip, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the app's functionality. We do not claim ownership of your content and will never use it for advertising or share it with third parties beyond what is described in our Privacy Policy. When you share a trip via a read-only link, you are choosing to make that content accessible to link recipients. You are responsible for what you share.

Subscription and payments

TallyTrip is currently free to download and use. We may introduce optional paid features or subscription plans in the future. If and when paid features are introduced, pricing will be clearly displayed in the app before any purchase is made. Any future subscription payments will be processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) in accordance with their respective terms. We will not process payment information directly. Refunds for any future purchases will be handled in accordance with Apple App Store and Google Play Store policies.

AI features

TallyTrip uses AI technology (Google Gemini) to scan booking confirmations and receipts. AI extraction is provided as a convenience feature and may not always be accurate. You are responsible for reviewing and confirming all AI-extracted information before saving. We are not liable for any errors resulting from AI extraction.

Availability and changes

We strive to keep TallyTrip available and functioning at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes. We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of TallyTrip after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Third-party services

TallyTrip integrates with third-party services including Google Firebase, Google Places, Google Gemini, and Unsplash. Your use of these services through TallyTrip is subject to their respective terms and policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.

Disclaimer of warranties

TallyTrip is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that TallyTrip will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific requirements. Use of TallyTrip is at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of TallyTrip. Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of TallyTrip shall not exceed the amount you paid for TallyTrip in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of [your state/jurisdiction].
